Get Rich Quick Lies

Get rich quick. 200 percent ROI on investment guaranteed. Make millions at home on your desktop in minutes a day. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? How has it been working for you so far?

There is danger in looking for better and quicker ways to get rich in the form of a "secret" software programs, short cuts, insider information and easy, "overnight" success from your desktop without putting in the necessary time and effort.

As an entrepreneur you are always going to be tempted to take a short cut in the process of getting rich and attaining wealth. Your very nature of attaining a goal quickly and fast than the majority makes you the perfect target for snake oil salesmen and foolproof methods of attaining massive wealth. But let me ask you this; “If a short cut did exist, wouldn’t word have spread rapidly already?” I mean come on, we’ve been on this planet for thousands of years and what is the most repeated financial advice you hear on getting rich? Save 10% of your income an invest it long term with a return of 3-6% interest.

How long will it take before you can live off that? Well let me clarify. How long will it take before you can live of the interest from your principal and not touch the principal? The answer? It’s going to take a while. What you should really be thinking however is “Sweet! I’ve found a sure thing.” The great thing about sure things is that if you have a workable system, you can always speed up the process.

Let me put it to you this way. If you were in a battle to save your village and way of life from the armies of darkness, would you have a plan A and a plan B? Of course you would and plan A would be the dream plan. Every thing goes perfect and a decisive, quick victory with minimum loss would be yours. Plan B would be the worst case, dragged out, attrition type of victory. The bottom line is however; no matter what occurs between your two plans, victory would eventually be yours. If you never made a plan B, best case puts you as a slave to the armies of darkness and worst case has you pushing up daisies.

In the book “How To Make One Hell Of A Profit And Still Go To Heaven” by Dr. John F. Demartini, saving is a cornerstone to attaining riches. Same thing with “The Richest Man In Babylon” by George S. Clason. How about “Cash Flow Quadrant” By Robert Kiyosoki? Yes is the answer again.

Dr. Demartini lays it out very simply in his book mentioned above. Go to a financial investment company and set up a money-market account. It should return a safe 2-6 percent that will beat inflation and continue to grow.

Every month, have 10 percent automatically withdrawn from your regular bank account and deposited to the unlimited wealth account. Lastly, increase the withdrawal amount by ten percent every three months. For example if you are saving $100 now in three months you will have $110 withdrawn every month. This continues forever.

There are a couple things at work here. This plan is automatic, safe with a geometrically increasing rate and its permanent. That’s a guaranteed way to wealth. Now that your plan B is covered, you are free to look at best-case scenarios because even if your schemes fail, you will eventually be rich anyway.

Now you can play with real estate, stocks and investing in business start ups. The best part is that you can do this with a sense of adventure and play instead of survival and desperation. The reason being is that your riches are guaranteed by a method passed down by the masters.

Planning Habits Of The Rich

We will get 1440 brand new minutes at the start of each new day. No more, no les and the only difference is how we use them. I someone seems to et more done than others in the same length of time, you may be sure they work harder and have a plan. Work is futile unless wisely directed. Plan your work and work your plan.

Because they have so much time, a lot of people pretend they have none. “Did you call back the guest?” asks the manager. “No” you rely with your tongue in your cheek. “I wanted to call him. But did no have the time”. That answer of course was not quite accurate. What you really meant was that you did not plan the use of your time that day to include a call on your guest. There is plenty of time each day for each of us to go all out for success and triumph.

Important businessmen work with a definite plan, not only for the year or month but for every workday. Check this statement against your own observations and you will agree that on the desk of almost every executive you contact, is a schedule for the day of people to see and of work to be done. Why are these men of great purpose and superior achievements gifted with talents you do not possess? Are they supermen? No they are simply those who work with no lost motion. Because they mean to do what is planned in advance and thus they are able to concentrate without interruption on the work at hand.

Time and ideas are what consultants have to sell. He or she is working for wages just as any man woman on an hourly schedule. But he or she gets his or her own wage scale. What does that mean? It means that every hours wasted is money out of your pocket. To throw away a productive hour is the same as burning money. Planning is the most important word in the consultants dictionary. A tight but workable schedule must be planned if one is to handle the job properly.

Probably the greatest time wasters do not realize the hours they lose in a single day or week. They keep no record of what they intend to do or what they have done, and so they imagine every moment productive. If you want to get maximum results from your time-then plan better use of it. This requires keeping in black and white a weekly consultant report to permit a fair analysis and inventory of how to go about your daily work. Once you have seen yourself in true perspective you will willingly pas to the next step which is to schedule in advance each days activities.

Planning The Work Week

First, you need to get yourself a day planner. This is to be used in arranging your week’s work and projections in advance. A daily planner is extremely valuable at the end of any given day, week, month or year to analyze your degree of productivity which in turn determines your level of success. The desire fo more call, more buddy promotions, more selling, more learning, more organization will pave the road to success. Some consultants resist organization, daily planners, weekly summaries, projections and the like. Yet the successful ones have learned that it is the only possible way. Work and self-reliance are the only sound bases for successful selling. Part of training must be actual experience, planned, supervised, and carried out according to plan. The other part is also experience. The individual level also planned and carried out according to plan. Too, if you are having trouble with that quota, turn your eyes inward. The trouble may be a lack of planning and you may be the only person who can change it.

The success of salesmanship, broadly or specifically, stands four square on the solid foundation of experience, constant application of knowledge in actual sales situations. The gaining of first hand experience is the consultants one hope of becoming a veteran. But there is so little time. The hours per day are shorter, the days per week are less and the tendency is towards more of the same. A consultant must not only learn to sell, but to do it quickly and he must do it with less time at his disposal. Efficiency and planning will only come from experience.

How to be a Winner in Everything

>How to be a Winner in Everything you Do - Part 2
>People who are successful- those people we consider winners
>-in their personal and professional lives share several
>common characteristics and attributes that allow them to
>deal with adversity and temporary failures. Anyone can
>develop these winning characteristcs and attributes and
>actually learn now to be successful in all aspects of live.
>
>Here are the four winning characteristcs found in common
>among successful people in all walks of life.
>
>4) Flexibility
>
>Winners are those people who accept and adapt to changing
>conditions. Losers tend to stick with routine and resist
>change regardless of potential benefits. Flexibility means
>being open to new ideas and new ways of doing things, and
>being willing to try them when old ideas and techniques no
>longer work. Very few people ever got to be successful by
>resisting change.
>
>5) Determination
>
>You may have a goal and possess self-motivation, a positive
>mental approach, and flexibility and still be a loser.
>That's because yu lack the determination to keep going when
>the going gets tough. Without the neccessary determination
>to keep pursuing your goal, regardless of the problems or
>adversity you may face, your chances of achieving success
>are slim, at best. On the other hand, if you are
>determined to reach your goal, even if a well-meaning
>friend or colleague tell you it's impossible, you probably
>will.
>
>Your persistence in overcoming obstacles or a lack of faith
>in others is an essential characteristic for being a winner.
>
>6) Confidence
>
>You won't go far without a belief in yourself. Confidence
>in your ideas and abilities can give you the inner strength
>to forge ahead toward your goal even in the toughest of
>times. It's an essential characteristic you need to
>develop if you are to reach your true potential.
>
>People who lack self-confidence are seldom positive.
>They're also reluctant to take risks or set goals because
>they believe they are bound to fail. Success requires
>unwavering confidence, even when others question your
>abilities and your judgement.
>
>The key to developing self-confidence is knowledge. The
>more you know and understand about what you want, the more
>confident you'll become. That doesn't mean you have to be
>smarter. It just means that you'll need to learn all you
>can about the various methods available for reaching your
>goal. Winners are people who study what they plan to do
>until they understand how to do it. Armed with such
>knowledge and its resulting self-confidence, these people
>are more likely to succeed.
>
>7) Self-Discipline
>
>You already may possess most of the characteristcs
>described above and still fall short of your goals. For
>many people, failure is due to a lack of self-discipline.
>No amount of confidence and determination will lead to
>success if you don't have the self-discipline to follow an
>orderly plan. That doesn't mean you can't "goof off"
>occasionally. It simply means that in order to achieve
>success you'll need to discipline yourself to do the things
>that need to be done, when they need to be done.
>
>Winners are not people who go after their gols with an "I
>can do that tomorrow or the next day" attitude. Winners
>are disciplined people who know the value of getting things
>done on time.
>
>One way to become a winner in everything you do is to study
>successful people and then follow their examples. You
>don't have to make yourself over in someone else's image.
>But you should learn and develop the winning characteristcs
>these people have in common. It's not an impossible task.
>If you are willing to make the necessary changes in
>thinking, attitudes and behavior, you can realize your full
>potential and achieve whatever goals you set.

How To Replace Your Belief System

>How To Replace Your Belief System
>Many years ago, I heard the statement, "Replace every
>negative thought with two or three positive thoughts." That
>is good, solid advice. Negative thoughts produce negative
>results. Positive thoughts produce positive results.
>
>Let's look at this a little further as it relates to our
>belief systems. If someone consistently thinks of himself
>as a failure, then he is consistently building a failure
>belief system. The degree to which that belief system is
>reinforced will be consistently evidenced in his life.
>
>No matter how hard he tries, and no matter how much he
>dislikes being a failure, he will continue to be a failure.
>All the negative thoughts of failure have finally shaped
>his failure belief system. He cannot just turn it off,
>because it is a set belief system. But the good news is, he
>can change it if he chooses to.
>
>We were not born with our belief systems in place. We put
>them there. And if we put them there, we can change them.
>They weren't established in two seconds, so it may take
>some time to replace them. How much time? It depends on how
>deep the belief system really is, and, how much effort we
>choose to exert.
>
>All of our belief systems were built by thoughts, so,
>replacing an old belief system and building a new belief
>system will also require building thoughts.
>
>For example, people who are poor stay poor because they
>have a poverty belief system. The things that they talk
>about reflect a poverty mentality directly in line with
>their poverty belief system. They may not want to be poor.
>They would probably never refuse money. But until they
>build a new belief system, in that category of life, they
>will remain poor. This is the reason that so many lottery
>winners end up broke.
>
>Someone once said that if you took all the money in the
>world and divided it up equally among all the people, it
>would eventually end up right back where it is today. Why?
>A poverty mind will attract poverty and a wealthy mind will
>attract wealth.
>
>So, if there is a belief system in your life that you do
>not want, you can decide to change it. You do that by
>thinking one thought at a time, consistently, over and
>over. The big key is to replace any and all negative
>thoughts related to the old belief system with the new
>positive thoughts.
>
>In addition to your thoughts, take note of what comes out
>of your mouth. What you say is a good indication of your
>belief system. Have you ever noticed what people with a
>poverty belief system talk about? They talk about lack,
>time and time and time again.
>
>So take note of what's coming out of your mouth. For
>example, replace phrases like, "I can't" with, "I will."
>"It won't ever happen", with, "It is going to happen."
>"Nothing ever goes right for me", with, "Everything is
>going to start going right for me." Get the point? And
>trust me; it will seem really awkward when you first begin
>this process. Do you know why? These new positive thoughts
>are colliding head on with your current belief system,
>which in turn is yelling back, "Oh, no way. That's not how
>it is."
>
>Just stay aggressive with your new positive thoughts. Say
>them to yourself silently, and say them to yourself out
>loud. Write them down and read them often. Keep bombarding
>your mind with the new positive thoughts, stating your new
>life direction.
>
>Stay consistent and you will replace your belief system.
>
>God designed our minds to have belief systems. He also gave
>us free will, to decide and to choose those belief systems.
>
>Replace your unwanted belief system with a new one by
>replacing the thoughts in your mind and you will build a
>new positive belief system.
>

Create Low Cost Products

So, after much research, you have figured out what niche
market you want to target with your home based business.
Now, you aren't sure what product you want to sell. The
truth is, the answer is easier to arrive at, and much less
expensive to implement than you would imagine. Let's learn
the secrets gurus use when creating a product.

In case you are wracking your brain trying to figure this
out, relax. In fact, you probably have already guessed it.
It's the dreaded ebook! The moaning and groaning is
beginning now, but ebooks really aren't that bad! Ebooks
have been around for years, but most people in your niche
likely will have had only limited experience with them.

Why ebooks? They continue to be cool, and are viewed as
cutting edge. They also are easy to create, inexpensive,
can be developed quickly, and can be bought while you
sleep. It doesn't get much better than that!

Now, the real secret to ebooks is . . . . Drum roll please!
DON'T CREATE THEM! Now, if you are a professional writer or
just love to write, then this article isn't for you. The
rest of you, hang in here! The truth is there are much
easier ways to create an ebook than trying to do it
yourself. They are:

1. Have someone else do it for you or,

2. Legally steal someone else's book.

There are sites where you can post your projects, and where
freelance writers can take a look, and make bids on your
projects.

Tips to remember when you go to post your projects include
the following:

1. Give as much detail as possible so that freelance
writers know exactly what you want. Some writers will be so
eager for your project that they will write up a sample
chapter based on your information just to get your
business. Make sure you also ask the bidder to sign a
non-disclosure agreement. This information can be found on
the site. You always must register, as well. Buyers can
register for free.

2. Always ask bidders for writing examples; otherwise, who
knows what fluff you might end up with!

3. Don't ever pay anyone until you have completely reviewed
the final product.

With these tips in mind, now on to the second way to create
an inexpensive ebook. If you remember, the second secret
given was to legally steal someone else's book. How can
this be done? The secret is using public domain materials.
Anything published before 1923 in the United States is
considered public domain. This means that no one owns the
copyright of the material, and therefore, anybody can use
it.

It gets even better than this. Some books published between
1923 and 1963 may be public domain material if the
copyright was not renewed by the 28th year. To be on the
safe side, it always advisable to consult a copyright
attorney before publishing any work you might find. That
said, there are membership sites on the web that have done
all the work for you! You just pay a small monthly fee and
get lots of great public domain material.

After you get your original book, you will want to have it
scanned in digital format. When looking for a company to do
this for you, keep these important points in mind:

1. Make sure they do not destroy the original book. The
book needs to be returned to you.

2. The company needs to do more than just scan the book.
The work has to be editable so you can add your own
introduction.

3. There needs to be a week's turn around.

4. Work is kept confidential.

5. The fees are not unreasonable. Examples of approximate
prices are:

1-100 pages-$100 101-300 pages-$150 301-500 pages-$200
501+Pages-$250

Now you know the secrets the gurus use to create low cost
products for their niche markets. Your home based business
can now explode!

Become Successful Selling on Ebay

Online auctions like Ebay are providing a good income for
many people who choose to work at home and earn some extra
money. However, you might want to take some extra steps to
ensure your success as you are competing with so many
people wanting to work at home as online auction sellers.

First, you need to become familiar with the online auction
environment. Check out Ebay and other auction sites. Go
through the steps of bidding and purchasing an item so you
become familiar with how the customer works. Don’t forget
to check out the help sections. There is a lot of
information about the bidding and listing process that will
beneficial to you.

Second, you need to decide on what types of items you are
going to sell and research the worth of those items. Some
people are able to turn their collecting hobbies into a
work at home business. For example, someone who collects
baseball cards probably already knows the worth of the
cards and can quickly get started selling the cards.

The third thing you need to do to get started with selling
items on online auctions is to set up your work at home
office. You will need to invest in a computer with
high-speed Internet access, a digital camera to take
pictures of your items and a printer. You will also need to
consider where you will store your items and how you will
ship your items. The United States Postal Services makes it
easy for people who work at home to ship items with a
website where you can order packing supplies and even buy
postage online. If you are selling many items, you might
want to invest in clear plastic storage containers. These
can stack easily in closet.

Finally, you are ready to list your items. The most
important things to consider when listing your items are
the title and the gallery photos. These two items are what
entice shoppers to take a look at your item. Follow up with
good customer service once someone has won your auction.
Ship the items in a timely fashion and try to provide
multiple payment options.

Online auctions are the answer for a lot of people who want
to have their own online home business. However, to be
successful, you have to treat it as a business. There are
several books available about how to get started with
online auctions for work at home business owners.

How to Stay Motivated as You Work at Home

Are you considering a work at home career, but are
wondering if you can stay on top of everything? Being your
own boss and setting your own schedule can be very
rewarding. However, it can also be easy to stray off track
and not be motivated about your work. Here are a few
suggestions to help you stay productive as you work at home.

Create a structured work at home environment. Make a to-do
list every day and include all the projects you want to
accomplish. Don’t forget to include emails and time for
other correspondence and breaks. Set your goals by numbers
such as writing 500 words instead of working a defined
amount of time. A job perk for work at home business owners
is being able to work when you can, not working a certain
amount of hours per day.

Discuss with friends, family and neighbors that your work
at home business truly is a business, and you cannot be
bothered when you are working. Otherwise, you might be one
person who “doesn’t work outside the home” that everyone
calls on to run errands or to watch sick children. Let them
know that even though you are home, you are not available
for phone calls while you work at home. Set guidelines with
your immediate family and children about what is a valid
reason to interrupt your work.

It’s very important to schedule breaks while you work at
home. Make a point of leaving your work to eat lunch and
take an afternoon break to walk the dog or just get outside
for a few minutes. It’s easy to do one more task or finish
one last paragraph while you work at home alone. Getting
wrapped up in your work can lead to getting stuck at your
desk for much longer than you had planned. Scheduling in
set breaks helps you to walk away from work and not allow
your online home business to become your entire life.

Commitments can motivate you to keep working. Accepting
work at home jobs that require a minimum amount of work can
keep you focused on the work at hand. Deadlines are an
excellent motivator as long as they are realistic. Finally,
don’t expect to love your work at home right away. It takes
time to adjust to the different work environment. Some
people feel isolated at the beginning of their work at home
career. Give yourself a few months to adjust to your home
business before deciding if you want to return to your
previous career.

Working at home is a different work environment, but these
few simple tips can help you stay productive and motivated
building your home business.

Ebook Basics For The Infopreneur

If your business is selling information there are
somethings that you need to consider when you make the move
to online business development and product delivery. This
article tries to shine a light on the facets of online
information sales that may be overlooked at first.

Selling information online has a number of benefits – there
is no physical packaging and handling to worry about and no
issues of having a product “in stock.” For the customer
there is no waiting for a delivery or a delay in receiving
their goods after the sale is completed.

So, you have decided to sell information online and want to
present it in eBook format, what does this entail. Plain
text could be used but it leaves a lot to be desired.
Customers paying for information have an expectation that
the information will be presented in a format that reflects
the thought that has gone into it. A plain text document
has the look of something that was rushed out the door.

EBooks also provide features such as bookmarking,
highlighting, searching, etc.

Do you want to provide your customers a format that is
mainly aimed at producing hard-copy (Adobe PDF) or
cross-platform display. PDF files are an option when you
are willing to let the purchaser print out the material and
is a very professional looking solution.

The problem with PDF files is that they have hard copy as
the intended primary destination and they are not well
suited to viewing on small size screens. This is where
certain eBook formats really shine.

Ideally a eBook format will automatically reformat the
document to be viewable on different size and resolution
devices while keeping in-line formatting intact. There are
many different eBook formats to choose from but not all are
equally viable for commercial redistribution of content.
Along with the ability to view on different size small
screens, it is also desirable to be able to view the
document on a full-size PC display and make use of the
extra screen real-estate.

Do you want to handle the sales and delivery of your eBook
yourself or would you like a outside company to take care
of those issues for you and just leave you with the job of
marketing your eBook. Handling the sales on your own gives
you a lot more flexibility but takes up considerable effort
and finances (to handle credit cards, PayPal, etc.) to get
going.

There is one company & eBook format that can handle these
issues “out of the box” - MobiPocket.
* Broad platform support including most smart phones, PDAs,
and PCs – the same eBook file will display properly
formatted on all these devices
* Books are based on the Open eBook standard and are a
subset of the HTML markup language
* Ability to import from various formats including HTML and
MS Word
* Many free books are available in MobiPocket format which
you can then bundle in as “sales closers”
* Retail eBook sales through a large number of affiliate
online stores requires no work on your part
* Free eBook “reader” application
* Purchased books are encrypted and may only be read by the
eBook purchaser
* Minimum retail price is $2
* Funds can be in US$ or Euros

Once you have gotten a Publisher account (free) and the
eBook publisher software you can upload your books to the
MobiPocket server and all the financial & distribution
tasks will be taken care of for you. Just take care of the
marketing and pointing potential customers at the detail
page for your eBook. Make the description text for your
eBook catchy – you may get sales from people who are just
browsing and never thought to search for your eBook.

The sales of your eBook will pay you the “wholesale” price
that you have set and which is 50% of the retail price.
This means that you have to take into account how much you
want to make on each sale vs. how much you want to charge
people for your eBook. If you want to make $10 per sale
then you must price your eBook at $20 – which might cost
too much and drive away potential sales. It’s up to you.

Choosing a Profitable Affiliate Program

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs
being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why
settle for those that charge you some dollars before
joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is
different. Some issue their checks once a month, every
quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment
time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum
earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or
exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number
of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a
sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is
extremely important because this will tell you how much
traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission
from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for
how long do they remain in the system? You need to be
confident on the program enough to track those people you
refer from your site. This is the only way that you get
credit for a sale. The period of time that those people
stay in the system is also important. This is because some
visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later
to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for
the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your
choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering
detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you
decide to check them out. Constantly checking your
individual stats is important to know how many impressions,
hits and sales are already generated from your site.
Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link
was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one
clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and
impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is
important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this
will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission.
This is especially important if the program you are in
offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing
business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know
the products they are selling and the average amount they
are achieving. The more you know about the retailer
offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be
for you to know if that program is really for you and your
site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single
tier program pays you only for the business you yourself
have generated. A two tier program pays you for the
business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the
sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your
program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees
on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment
fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is
the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the
amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also
pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all.
As you can see from the figures, you will now understand
why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is
important.

These are just some of the questions that need to be
answered before you enter into an affiliate program. You
should be familiar with the many important aspects that
your chosen program should have before incorporating them
into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program
choices these questions. These can help you select the
right program for you site from among the many available.

Assess the Profits of Your Home Based Business

There are many home-based businesses and opportunities that
can be found online. Work-at-home opportunity seekers can
easily be bombarded by many offers that promise thousands
of dollars per week. However, once a home business
opportunity is decided upon, it is important that one
crucial step is not overlooked. The step is carefully
evaluating the online profit potential the opportunity has
to offer. Let's uncover the secrets of this important step.

In order to analyze the profit potential of a internet home
business idea, home based business opportunity seekers
should look at :

1. The size of the market

2. The competitiveness of the market

3. Whether or not people are paying to advertise within a
particular market, and if so, how much it costs to
advertise.

To do this manually, follow this step by step process:

1. Go to http://inventory.overture.com. This tool permits
you to look up the number of searches for the previous
months on certain keywords. Some of the information comes
from search engines such as Yahoo, Alta Vista, MSN, and CNN.

2. Pick a word or phrase and type it in the suggestion
tool. Depending on the keyword you choose, results can
range from the thousands to a few hundred or less. It is
best to have at least 6,000 searches for a month before you
choose to pursue your work at home business opportunity.

3. Go thorough the list and copy the words that are closely
related to your keyword. Put all this information onto a
spreadsheet and add up all the numbers. This provides you
with an estimate of the monthly demand and size for your
work at home business opportunity you are considering.

4. Go to Google.com and type in all the keyword phrases
separately to get supply information for each of your
keywords. Type this information into the spreadsheet you
previously completed. Name the column supply/demand. Keep
in mind that if you get results such as 200,000 and up,
that is a lot of competition!

In order to find specific bids on keywords, follow these
steps:

5. Go to Overture.com and type in your keyword. Click on
"view advertiser's max bids's" in the upper right corner. A
new window will open up where you'll need to type in your
keyword. After entering a security code, you'll see what
people are bidding. It is also important to remember that
if no one else is paying to advertise on a home based
business opportunity idea's keyword, its either a smoking
hot find or folks aren't buying the product.

6. Go through this procedure for all of your words and
phrases. Write down what the top three bids are for each
keyword and put them in your spreadsheet.

Now, we are going to calculate the monthly profit
potential. The first part of this formula will be revenue.
Take the total demand count from the keywords as gathered
in step 2 and 3 of your figures that were taken from
Overture.com and multiply it by 2.5 to get an overall paid
search impressions. If you plan on advertising with Google,
this multiplication formula will not work.

Next, we are going to figure out profit based or Click
Through Rate. Some impressions have high CTR's and other
low CTR's. You will need at least a 1% CTR. This can be
easily achieved by adjusting your titles and descriptions
as needed.

In regards to the sales conversion rate, starting off at 1%
is Ok. This means an average of one out of every 100
visitors to your work at home business opportunity will
buy. If your idea doesn't show a profit potential of at
least 1%, then it's highly likely it will be difficult to
work online.

With the expensive part of the equation, you need to
calculate out the average cost per click. This means, what
will it cost for your keywords to remain in the top 3
position. For example, if your keywords were bartending and
the top three phrases for this keyword were Bartending
book-.011, Bartending guide-.10, and Bartending tips-.08
,the average cost per keyword would be about .10 As you can
see, calculating the cost of your home business opportunity
idea by hand can be tedious. There is software that can do
this for you automatically. Visit

Before embarking on an Internet home based business idea,
it is very important to carefully evaluate the profit
potential. Failing to do so can result in frustration,
little to no profits, and eventually shutting down your
business! So make sure you follow these steps to have a
profitable home-based-business opportunity!

Profitable Joint Ventures

Publishing an ezine is a terrific way to promote your
products to your visitors and achieve more sales.

Your ezine can also be used to carry out joint ventures or
ad swaps that will increase your subscriptions or put more
money in your pocket.

Here's 4 effective swaps that will help you get started
right.

1. Swap an ad

This is the most basic swap that you can participate in, and
will create a win-win situation as both you and your swapper
will get your ads in front of a targeted audience.

Some ads you could swap:

1. Top sponsor ads
2. Feature ads
3. Classified ads
4. Solo ads

Choose ezines that offer related content to yours, that are
informative, and are double opt in.

Also try to swap your ad for multiple issues, when you can,
because repetition will increase the number of new
subscribers you get from your ad.

In addition, to helping you to increase your subscriptions,
you can also get more new customers by swapping an ad for
your business.

Like when you swap an ad for your ezine, choose ezines that
have subscribers that would be interested in what you offer.

Also choose ezines that offer valuable content as they'll
have a higher readership, giving you more eyeballs for your
ad.

2. Swap a recommendation within your ezine

Because your swapper has readers that presumably already
trust her and view her as an expert in her field, your
recommendation swaps can be even more successful for you
than simply swapping ads.

Use the place in your ezines where you talk to your
subscribers (i.e., your publisher's note) to swap your
recommendations.

Your swaps could be for your ezines, or you could pull in
more sales by swapping recommendations for each others'
products or for each other's freebies (i.e., free ebook or
teleclass).

3. Swap a thank you page ad or recommendation

Thank you page swaps can be very effective because the
people that will see your ad or recommendation have just
shown themselves to be interested in an ezine related to
yours by subscribing to it.

On your thank you page, you could post 3-5 ads for ezines
that your new subscribers might be interested in exchange
for those ezines doing the same for you and for each other.

You could also simply share the benefits of joining another
publisher's ezine on this page in exchange for that
publisher's winning recommendation of you.

4. Run a recommended ezines section

Choose a few targeted ezines to join forces with, then place
each other's ads in this section.

With this swap, you'll be able to get your ezine endorsed by
several ezine publishers.

You'll also be able to get valuable long term promotion of
your ezine, as your ad will be run in each of your swappers'
issues for the life of your swap.

Now, you have four profitable ways to increase your ezine's
success through joint ventures.

Do some networking with other ezine publishers and find some
new swappers that you can partner with and effectively
increase your subscriptions or your sales.
