When I was in the army I saw a lot of people that started out really fit when they were younger but too much time behind a desk left only positive thinking and a big waistline. I ran into this question a lot when we first started boot camps in Calgary way back in 2003 after I finished my tour in Bosnia.
This is one reason I provide video demonstrations of the exercises and other tools for you so that you can practice them in privacy if need be.
The answer is: “You’re always ready for a fitness boot camp… Boot camps are for people that want to improve their current fitness level!”.
Our workouts are scalable. What does scalable mean? It means that we can adjust EVERYTHING so that EVERYONE gets the workout they need. I may have you doing pushups on your knees while someone else is crushing it with one arm pushups at the same time…see?

Because we never do the same thing twice but we always work these areas so you can get better and better each time out.
- Cardio
- Calisthenics & agility exercises

- Strength training with bodyweight
- Strength training with weights (yes, more than 5 lb plastic ones)

Our outdoor boot camp workouts include running, pushups, situps, bench dips and jumping jacks. Those are the basics. There just may be some sprints and lunges or maybe even burpees! The program is designed to take into account different levels of fitness and burns fat while developing strength and fitness that can be used in the real world.
Don’t Worry If You Can’t Do Something I care about your personal drive and intensity, not your capability. There are lots of people that can’t do pushups. I’ll take care of you and offer a variation so that you get the workout you need.

Bring It On!!By Scott Pook I have known Ray through circle of friends for a many years and he was always telling me to come work out with him. I finally got up the nerve and joined his Boot Camp in June 2009. I did his camp for 4 months and saw so many results in such a short time. While I have always been an active guy and have done various sports my whole life I was not int the shape I was years ago. I was for sure dreading the first class as I had not done anything for many years and knew that I was about to have my butt handed to me on platter. Yes it was handed to me a few times ok many times. I had issues walking the next day and I hurt in places I never new existed but it was a good hurt as I knew my body was getting the work out it so much desired and needed. I feeling like the old healthy me again and I loved it. Ray and the other boot camp members inspired and pushed me to do whatever was thrown at me. Sometimes excelling, sometimes stumbling and sometimes making me think WOW I never knew I had that in me. I noticed my body getting definition quickly, felt stronger and I noticed my lung capacity becoming larger as the classes went on. Ray made working out fun and exciting each session which was a big thing for me as I hate the gym atmosphere. I always looked forward to Mon and Thurs as I knew I was going to work out and push myself to better my body and health level. I would highly recommend Rays Boot Camp to anyone who needs that extra push by someone who may be hard at times but he does it cause he wants you to succeed and become the best you can be. I am dreading but excited for class to start in April as I have totally let winter take the best of me. In April I am turning 40 and I want to be in the best shape of my life in my 40s. So here I come BURPIES, 30-30-30 and all the other fun stuff Ray has in store for us. There will be no “gopher holes” for this guy this year. |

I had my doubts that Ray would be able to live up to all the hype that was surrounding Commando Cardio after all I was starting his program at 323 lbs. But after doing it for the first month, I couldn’t believe the butt kicking I got. In that one month alone I dropped 30 lbs of 100% fat and gained some mean lean solid muscle mass and weighed in at 295 lbs!!!
